In June, we already informed you about the ongoing research on teacher mobility in the Caribbean Netherlands. We would like to give you a short update about this research.

From June 6th until June 24th, all teaching staff from the pe en se/sve schools had the opportunity to participate in the online survey. The survey response is very satisfying; 41% off all the teaching staff participated. The percentages are evenly distributed among the three islands (Bonaire 40%, Saba 40%, St Eustatius 44%) and between pe versus se/sve.

The research team is quite satisfied with the survey response and want to thank all the participants. By filling in the survey, all participants had the chance to win an Ipad Air 2. After closing the questionnaire, one winner was randomly selected by the Research Centre for Education and Labour Market (ROA) of Maastricht University. The winner is Elly den Holder from the Pelikaanschool Bonaire. Elly (see picture) has already received her Ipad.

The research team is currently finalizing the report of the findings. These will be distributed to the participating schools in the autumn of 2016.
